Yarmouth Carnival Week is an annual community celebration in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, with a week-long programme of family events, competitions, sports, entertainment and local traditions.
During Carnival Week, the marquee will be open throughout the week for collecting and submitting forms, finding out what is happening, and taking part in a variety of competitions and activities.

Best Decorated House (Theme: Under the Sea)

Keep an eye out for decorated houses and buildings around the town as residents get creative with this year’s theme, Under the Sea. You are welcome to let us know your preference ahead of judging for Best Decorated House.

Window Spotting

All participating shops will have stickers in their windows to show that there is something unusual to find. Take a look around town and see what you can spot.

Limerick Competition

This year’s first line is:
“A Mermaid in Yarmouth called...”
Get creative and complete the limerick for your chance to take part.

Crossword Competition

Pick up a crossword competition form from the marquee and submit your completed entry during the week.

Miniature Gardens

Why not join in with our Miniature Garden Competition? Get creative with your own mini garden and fill it with all your favourite plants and foliage.
Any container will do, so let your imagination run wild.

Other Marquee Activities

Pop into the marquee during the week to see what is on offer. There will be plenty of children’s competitions and activities taking place throughout Carnival Week.
