Bring your imagination and boat building skills for a fun-filled day on the River Yar, ending with an exciting afternoon of racing on the water. It is a great chance to get creative, join the competition and see whose craft makes it to the finish.

About the event
Join us on the River Yar, just off The Green, for a day of Boat Building and Racing, with boat building from 10.00am and racing from 1.30pm.
Bring your creative boat building skills and get ready for a fun and competitive afternoon on the water, with prizes to be presented after the racing. Please note that all competitors must wear a buoyancy aid or lifejacket at all times.
Boat Building is kindly sponsored by River Yar Boatyard and the Royal Solent Yacht Club.
Please note that anyone taking part does so entirely at their own risk. Participants, or where appropriate their parents or guardians, are responsible for ensuring that they are competent and that their boats are safe for the conditions on the day. All participants must wear an appropriate buoyancy aid at all times whilst in or near the water.
