About the event

Join us on the River at 3.00pm for a much-loved afternoon of crabbing on the River Yar. Bring along your own crab line and bucket and see what you can catch, with bait available on the day if you need it, although you may prefer to bring your own secret recipe. Once caught, crabs should be taken to the Marquee for the official weigh-in and count.

There are plenty of categories to compete in, including Largest Crab, Smallest Crab, Most Unusual Catch, Most Number of Crabs for ages 5 and under, 6 to 10 years, and 11 to 100 years, as well as Youngest Crabber.

All children taking part must wear buoyancy aids.

Sponsored by The Blue Crab.
