Join us as Carnival Week begins with the official Opening Ceremony, marking the start of a fun-filled week of community celebrations, activities and entertainment. It is the perfect way to gather together, enjoy the atmosphere and launch the festivities in style.

About the event
This year’s Carnival Week will begin with a special Opening Ceremony conducted by HM Lord-Lieutenant Susie Sheldon, marking the official start of the celebrations. The ceremony will be followed by a 4-mile Fun Run around the River Yar, setting the tone for an active and enjoyable week ahead.
Registration for the Fun Run opens at 1.15pm in the Marquee, with an entry fee of £5.00. The race will begin at approximately 2.00pm from the Green.
🎪 Important Notes
