SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE RACES

Expect plenty of pancake flipping, fancy dress, friendly competition and community fun, with races for children, adults and local businesses. There will be prizes, plenty of laughs, and another chance to compete for the much-coveted Shrove Tuesday Trophy.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Races
Last year’s Shrove Tuesday pancake races were a resounding success, with runners completing a circuit in the square around the Mallishag while flipping their pancake at least once before dashing across the finishing line.
What to expect
There will be races for all age groups, as well as for local businesses, with fancy dress encouraged. Expect plenty of running, flipping, laughter and community spirit.
Fancy dress and prizes
Costumed competitors are encouraged, and there will be prizes to be won, including an award for Best Apron and the much-coveted Shrove Tuesday Trophy.
